Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of chataiq, a private AI assistant provided by AI-IQ ("chataiq", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use chataiq.

1. The service

chataiq is a personal AI assistant for notes, voice and photo capture, grounded chat over your own data and connected services, dashboards ("Spaces"), and an optional website chatbot. Features may change, improve, or be discontinued over time.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 13 (or the age of digital consent in your region) and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Provide accurate information and notify us of any unauthorized use.

3. Your content

You retain all rights to the content you create or upload ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited licence to store, process and display Your Content solely to operate the service for you (for example, sending it to the AI provider you configure to generate answers). We do not claim ownership of Your Content and do not use it to train AI models.

4. Third-party AI & services (bring your own)

chataiq works with AI providers and services you choose and, where applicable, your own API keys. You are responsible for complying with those providers' terms and for any usage fees they charge. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, outputs, or costs.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use chataiq for unlawful, harmful, infringing, or abusive purposes.
Do not attempt to breach security, disrupt the service, or access others' data.
Do not upload content you have no right to use, or that violates others' rights or privacy.
Use any connected data (e.g. email, calendar, expenses, documents) only for your own legitimate purposes.

6. Plans & payment

The personal assistant is offered free; certain features (such as the website chatbot, "Pro") may require a paid plan. Pricing and plan features may change with notice. Where paid plans apply, fees are billed as described at sign-up; taxes may apply.

7. AI output — no professional advice

AI-generated output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. chataiq does not provide medical, financial, legal, tax, or other professional advice. Dashboards such as health-lab or expense Spaces are for personal organization only — verify anything important and consult a qualified professional before relying on it. You are responsible for how you use the output.

8. Intellectual property

chataiq, its software, design, and trademarks are owned by AI-IQ and its licensors. Except for the rights to use the service under these Terms, no rights are granted to you.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AI-IQ will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD $50.

11. Termination

You may stop using chataiq and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the service or other users. You may export or delete Your Content before termination; after account deletion, Your Content is removed as described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; we will revise the date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and AI-IQ submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service, except where mandatory local law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
